Trifele Black

Color: Black/Purple
Size: 4 to 8 ounces

Also known as the Japanese Trefele, Black Trefele, and the Japanese Black, this variety is actually an heirloom from Russia. These big, pear‐shaped tomatoes are remarkably dark fleshed with brilliant green veins running through the shoulders making them visually stunning. The flavor is incredibly sweet with hints of smoke and salt and often draws comparisons to red wine in terms of its complexity.
